A few seats, a stage and actors are all you need to attract an audience. Let the fun begin!

Several of the children in the Pohutukawa session have been exploring drama and taken on rolls as performers, the audience and narrator. The fale provided the perfect venue and with some quick camera work from Sarah G, soon their show was captured and played back on the projector for a larger group to watch. Watching yourself on the screen brings smiles and laughter.

Drama, by its very nature requires that the child be put into circumstances physically, mentally and emotionally that are outside their understanding of how things should be. It becomes a vehicle for developing oratory skills, imagination, empathy and self-belief.

I wonder when the next show will be?
