“When you are ready, come to me. I will take you to nature.
In nature you will learn everything you need to know.”
Rolling Thunder, Cherokee Medicine Man
Today we were fortunate to take a bus trip to a place that embraces nature and art – the Kaipara Coast Sculpture Gardens. The gardens are an oasis on a rural property looking out to the Kaipara Harbour. It features selected contemporary sculptures, created by established and emerging New Zealand artists. David Bayly has owned and operated Kaipara Coast Plant Centre from this site since 1988. His aim was to create a place where visitors can find inspiration to enhance their own gardens…
We hope that this beautiful setting will provide inspiration for Albany Kindergartens third annual art exhibition which will be held at the beginning of Term 2 2014. We think that our children are emerging artists in their own right as well!
Thank you to the Mum’s and Nana’s who were able to join us and support this excursion.
