The children in both sessions had been working hard for weeks to create their works of art for the show. It was with a great sense of pride and accomplishment that we opened the doors on our first art show at 4.00pm.
Our first viewing was very busy with lots of families present to see the children’s work.. It was great to see extended family members sharing this moment of achievement together.
The exhibition featured a big collection of art works, ranging from mosaics, paper mache, mono prints, wire sculptures, painting and clay work.
Art was accompanied with children’s words, teacher explanation and a video that documented the creative process.
Our night viewing(adult only) was a more intimate affair with Sharon Simpson providing our musical entertainment. This evening viewing gave parents the opportunity to view their childs art in a relaxed atmosphere and also provided us with an opportunity to open our kindergarten to other teaching staff within our association and also members of our local community.
What a great art show.
Thank you to all our wonderful artists who worked so hard and to the kindergarten committee who helped support the teachers with the evening viewing.
I can’t wait until next year!
