We often see children involved in acts of kindness here at kindergarten. Compassion, empathy and kindness are positive qualities we intuitively want our children to have. These qualities help children to be successful in all aspects of life. Scientific research shows that when children perform acts of kindness they are happier and are able to develop and maintain friendships.

We see elements of kindness unfolding in the Tuakana-tenia relationships between all members of our learning community.

As teachers we have been wondering how children view kindness – and how they might represent ‘kindness in action’ with the digital camera an in their drawings…

I found this u tube clip about kindness… ( Though it is linked to a face book game the clip was something warm and fuzzy to watch)

I wonder how you have embraced kindness in your thinking and actions today?
